OFFICE: PRESIDENT
TERM: 1 year (Elected)

DUTIES

  1. Acts as administrator of the EANG Executive Board during all official meetings. Calls for the assembly of all association members annually and presides over the assembly.
  2. Assures the orderly, expedient and continuous flow of business at all Executive Board Meetings. Provides that all meetings are conducted in accordance with the Robert's Rules of Order.
  3. Provides, to the Secretary, the proposed agenda of all official meetings at least 40 days prior to the scheduled meeting date.
  4. Makes assignments of special tasks to appropriate members of the Executive Board and establishes a suspense date for the completion of these special tasks. Directs the 2nd Vice-President to monitor the progress of all special tasks.
  5. Upon being installed as President, makes the following appointments:
    1. Legislative Committee Chairman
    2. Insurance Committee Chairman
    3. Membership Committee Chairman
    4. Continuity Committee Chairman
    5. Publications Committee Chairman
    6. Constitutions & Bylaws Committee Chairman
    7. Resolutions Committee Chairman
    8. Time & Place/Conference Committee Chairman
    9. Secretary
    10. Parliamentarian
    11. Sergeant-at-Arms
  6. Frequently uses the assistance and advise of the Past-President to accomplish the above duties.
  7. Shall be sanctioned to countersign all checks, agreements and contracts of this Association.
  8. The President, 1st Vice President, 2nd Vice President, and Treasurer will develop an inventory accounting system.
  9. All official reports/correspondence of the President will be typewritten and signed with two copies provided to the Secretary for the association records.
  10. All quarterly reports of the president will be presented in sufficient copies for the Executive Committee, insuring at least one clear copy is given to the Publications Chairman for reproduction ad distribution to all units. All Annual Conference President's reports will be presented to the Publications Committee at least 30 days prior to the conference. This will allow ample time for printing and shipping to conference site for inclusion in registration packets.

GOALS:

Upon installation the President shall complete a list of goals for his/her terms and distribute a copy of these goals to all Executive Board Members.
